I am selling my 1966 Fender Electric 12 string. I am the original owner and got this as my second guitar when I was in high school and was going to set the world on fire as a guitarist. But soon after, I switched to bass and this guitar rarely got played. Maybe once every 5 to 10 years. For some reason, I kept it all these years, but it's time to let someone else enjoy it.It has the typical fender sunburst finish with some slight wear after 50 years. There is one small chip on the front. The pickguard has some wear but not bad for 50 years. Some of the pictures show reflections that kind of look like scratches. It's hard to take good pictures when the camera thinks it knows more than you.
The guitar has always played well and sounded good. It has the split pick up design, and unlike other electric 12 strings of the era, this was designed from the ground up as a 12 string. The bridge has 12 saddles, making it easy to adjust to your playing style.
This guitar plays well and sounds good.
The case is original and the springs on the latches still work just fine even though they have a little rust on them. I also have the hang tag/owners instruction booklet.
