In order to reach a broader customer base I am offering free shipping to the USA. The item will be shipped from British Columbia Canada. Any prospective American buyer will pay the tariff on delivery. My understanding is that the duty will be approximately $80 on a $1300 USD item. That is also roughly my cost to ship it to the USA. We split the charges to get it into your hands. This is a 1977/1978 Fender American Precision bass. I have owned it since 1987. It has never been used by me on stage in a live setting and only used in the studio. It is in excellent shape with very low mileage. The only issue is one of the screws that secures the thumb rest is broken off in the hole below the pick guard. It does not come with a Fender case but it does come with a hard shell case. The pickups and bridge may need some tweaking since I took it apart and replaced the sponge springs under the pickups. I will leave the buyer to fine tune them. I will throw a good quality leather strap in with the deal.Ebay is unable to find any history for me which leads me to believe I had an old account which I used over 10 years ago. I have never sold but have bought a couple things (vintage records, a DVR, exercise bike) with the sales completed and excellent feedback at the time. I was told by Ebay that PayPal will hold the funds sent to me until I ship the item, so that is good consolation for any nervous buyers. I assume I would have to show them proof the bass was sent before they release the funds.That's it. You know my life story and that of the bass. Thanks.
