What makes this guitar special: A full-bodied resonant beauty, built with the traditional guitarist in mind. This early version of the SC 245 features the desirable 24 1/2" short scale like the modern ones do, but with a beefy wraparound stoptail bridge for incredible resonance and tonal clarity. The gorgeous root beer color is super vibrant, and does a beautiful job of accentuating the highly figured maple “ten top.” The premium feature on this one is the upgraded 1957/2008 humbuckers…purportedly wound on the same machine as the Gibson PAF’s of the late ‘50s. As with all our guitars, it’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthiers, and will arrive ready to play right out of the case.Cosmetic condition: Pretty great shape overall, with some standard player’s wear throughout. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs, with some notable buckle rash and a handful of scratches on the front around the neck pickup. Cosmetically, this one is a 7.5/10.Body: Solid mahogany body with carved maple ten top in orange tiger finish with wraparound stoptail bridge and cream colored pickup bezels.Weight: 9 lb, 10.2 ozNeck: Nicely rounded medium profile mahogany neck with pearloid side dots and pearl bird inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 1/2" scale length. Nicely variegated rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape, and frets show only light wear, with plenty of life left in them. Vintage style tuners are in perfect shape. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.Electronics: Dual PRS 1957/2008 humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector switch and bronze cored speed knobs, 2x volume, 2x tone. Case: Original hard shell case included.
