In 1974 the great Seymour Duncan created a unique Fender Telecaster for Jeff Beck, basically combining a blonde ash Tele body, fifties maple neck with Gibson PAF humbuckers.   Grabbing whatever they could at the time it was fitted with uncovered zebra's in the neck position and double creams in the bridge.   The bridge itself was a basic brass saddle ashtray type cut to accommodate the extra girth of the h/b and thus this very special guitar was born.   Played on his Blow by Blow album, here's the story in Jeff's own words     Whilst Fender has lovingly recreated Jeff Beck's famous one pickup Esquire it was left to Bacchus to replicate the twin h/b guitar and here is one such model.   Twelve were made in the Bacchus Japanese factory as part of their revered Vintage Series and three damaged in transit, leaving just nine worldwide.   The Bacchus Japanese  'Beginning of a new tradition' guitars are now gaining an almost legendary status and up there with anything out of Japan or the USA.   It has the feel and comfort of a maple neck Telecaster with the fat tone of humbuckers and for me as good as any high end guitar out there.   Stored for about a decade in my original mid sixties second series Fender Tolex case, it had one small ding when it arrived and is as it was.   Frets are about 100%   Played through my early Cornford Harlequin it has faultless fat humbucker tone and perfect for blues, rock or even jazz.   As Bacchus guitars rightly take their place in the Japanese pantheon, it's these old ones which cemented the reputation and quite irreplaceable.   Comes with the Fender Sixties  case and packed extra securely in a card guitar box.
