Washburn MG-132 FR, 1995 model. Designed by Grover Jackson. Extremely rare model never officially released. It is signed by Michael Angelo Batio. The signature is from marker pen, and can easily be cleaned off if one prefers. I sent email to Washburn customer support for details of this model, here is the email exchange:<from me: "Hi, I have Washburn guitar, serial number 9504045. It appears to be a a MG132. Couldn't find it in the US catalogs. Please see the pictures. Could you give me some information on this model please?Best regardsThanks Anders"From Washburn: "Made during the Grover Jackson days…really well made….the 132 was short lived and not publicized, it was reports to be the 122 with straight rather than the slanted and a Floyd Rose rather than the Wilkerson trem. Made in Chicago 1995 at the Elston Ave facility. Really nicely made guitar!!"
The guitar is in perfect working order, electronics work as they should, the neck is clean and the frets and Schaller Floyd Rose in great shape. The back of the neck is like the classic Charvel necks, oiled with that dry and super comfortable feeling. I have a read that these USA MG guitars are very close to that original Charvel guitars. The pick up switch is 5 way switch, so quite interesting pick up options as the guitar only has two pick ups. It's my impression that these models came this way. Strings will be loosened for transport.NOTE: String lock at the headstock has been shimmed. Please see picture. I think it's correct to assume that this is an aftermarket mod. Also the first name in the signature, Michael, which can be seen in the picture, appears to be non-removable with cleaner. I have not tried, but it looks this way. Just wanted you to know:) AndersWill be shipped in.very protective Rockcase by Warwick guitar case.ALL OFFERS WELCOME. ACCEPTED OFFERS INCLUDES FREE SHIPPING :)FREE WORLD WIDE SHIPPING!!
