This is a 1964 Jaguar confirmed by neck plate (L39166) and pot codes. The electronics and pickups are all original and have the vintage sound you're looking for. The body has been refinished to a burgundy sparkle and covered with a black pick guard. The neck is a Jaguar neck from the early 80's but I'm not certain of the exact year and don't want to remove it now to confirm.I've owned this guitar for about 9 years and have used it to record dreampop and shoe gaze music in the vein of My Bloody Valentine or noise rock like Dinosaur Jr when played through a Vox AC15. Its set up with 11 gauge flatwound strings which have a unique sound and create the same beach rock vibe of Dick Dale when played through a Fender Twin Reverb.It is a great sounding guitar and if you're seeking vintage tone and can do without the vintage paint then this is a great value.Includes vintage case.
