In the 1960's -70's Mitsuru Tamura was known as the “Ramirez of the East”. His workmanship and sound was unparalleled in Japan. His early guitars typically have a warmer Spanish style tone than the Kohnos and more dynamic power and definition than the early Yairis. His attention to detail and materials and tone his guitars  achieved  were second to none to any builder  in the world and superior to most. This is obvious not only in his aesthetics but also in the sound. This 600 model one of his top of the line guitars and easily exemplifies all that. This  has a robust dynamic tone. It is relatively unplayed in the past 46 years with  no fret wear and almost no finish wear. The sound is very balanced with a big warm bass that is clearly defined transitioning to a full warm midrange with lots of dynamic power and subtle tonal nuances then to the treble that has waterfall-harp like echoey harmonic overtones. The top is spruce which has aged nicely but never really been played in. I can’t imagine what it will sound like in five years if it is this good now…Back and sides look to be a chocolate brown Brazilian Rosewood or AAAA grade indian . Its so good its hard to tell has  gorgeous dark streaks and some wavy grain on the back… There was one hairline from the bridge to the edge of the bottom.  That is now sealed and tight and cleated. Other than that it is a near mint, incredibly clean and virtually unplayed masterpiece. If you want to enjoy the sound of a great master built classical that wont break the bank- this is the most bang for the buck you are likely to find…I’ve been dealing vintage guitars for thirty years and this is one of the very best I’ve seen from any builder.  fyi- I offer 24 hour approval so you can evaluate it.it comes with what is probably the original hard case in excellent condition
