This is a prime example of a lawsuit era Gibson copy that will give any Gibson a run for its money at a fraction of the cost
This Matsumoku made SA700R is one of the top of the line models from 1974 featuring an Ebony fretboard, Gibson 345 inlays, Maxon U1000 pickups with embossed GNECO covers and a trapeze tailpiece. Built like an ES-330, this guitar does not have a centre block and weighs only 6lbs!I believe this guitar is a copy of a late 60's Gibson. If you are familiar and have played a late 60's Gibson, you'll have noticed the neck is smaller than a 50's neck
This guitar is all original with a professional medium jumbo re fret done on the guitar last year. This guitar plays like brand newBlemishes: This guitar is overall in great condition but does have a few marks. Most noticably the one on the top of the headstock. This could be touched up. Various scratches (mostly minor) and the binding shows its age. Please see pictures and video for close up detail
