For sale today, my 1965 Gibson ES 120.  Please see the photos and ask any questions. Dated using online information. On one hand this is a 50 year old Gibson, but on the other it was an entry level guitar then and it's an entry level guitar now! Please look up general details of this model online.Pros:
Working condition, very playable and pickup works, looks great.
Good shape for age, solid, no cracks in the wood or the pick guard.
Straight neck.
Starting price is low.Cons:
This will need a complete set up and cleaning, both electronics and the body (it's dusty).
There is light checking in the finish, which is hard to see in the photos, but it is there.
The frets look worn and may need to be replaced. (I don't really know what to look for in frets so please see the photos and decide.)
A few of the rings around the tuning pegs are starting to "float" away from the neck (see photo)
The tuning peg shafts are tarnished/rusted (see photos)
Other normal use and age wear like small dings, binding is yellowed.
Personally I think the sound is just "ok" through an amp, but that is subjective.
There is playing/pick wear on the pick guard. That also is hard to see in the photos but this guitar has been played.I believe the pick up is original, but I don't really want to take the electronics off the guitar because I'm afraid of breaking something. If you have anything to add or correct please let me know.I'm cleaning out my basement and starting this super low to get it out of the house. I am selling this as is, so please ask questions in advance.  Comes with non-original soft gig bag, nothing special. I will only ship to the U.S. Or pick up in NYC.
