On offer is an excellent example of Akai's classic style MPC 1000. One owner, from a pet and smoke free home studio, with no more than 120 hours of use within four years of being bought new. As a late black model, doesn't suffer from poorly manufactured pads found in earlier black and blue models. Also, this MPC was used mainly with a midi keyboard, so pads haven't been hammered by finger drumming you'd normally expect from these Hip Hop workhorses.Unit comes shipped with full ram upgrade, which is essential for complex sample chops and recording. Supplied with original packaging, manual, standard mains lead, USB cable, and flash card. Overall a perfect buy for collectors and professionals that didn't get the chance to buy it new from the shops and don't want a unit that's been gigged and suffered from wear and tear. Personal experience with the MPC 1000 is it's the Goldilocks choice of MPCs, with a happy medium of features and scale. It boasts built in multiple outputs, and FX card which are desired for professional mixes, which are a pain to source for older models like the MPC 2000 which are sold separately at silly prices. It is also future proof with USB, avoiding SCSI and replacing dated floppy and Zip drives that you encounter on it's older sister models. Finally a nice feature is the record input jack can double up as a live input should you be short of a mixer for a second instrument, which can be routed if wished via internal effects.
