We are an authority on Burny Fernandes and avid collectors having sold very very many Burnys here on Ebay. In addition we have sold many many more authentic Burny LC-70RR models than any other guitar dealer. Even today we, which includes friends, associates and business partners worldwide, are actively searching in Europe, Japan and elsewhere for more artist models to bring to our store.Unfortunately, nearly-all ( or might we say ALL ) of the so called Randy Rhoads model Burnys we see for sale are not Burny LC-70RRs. Truthfully in the last ten years every Randy Les Paul we've seen for sale online are nothing more than white Fernandes/Burny les pauls.This listing is for a mint and authentic Randy Rhoads Model that has been kept in great condition and preserved by a guy that was basically a non-player. We have verified its authenticity and will provide the new owner of this guitar our Letter of Authenticity.As many know the Japanese luthiers nailed these artist model guitars all the way down to the smallest minute details. We should all know the history of Burny Fernandes. The stories about Fernandes executives in the early eighties being allowed by Delores Rhoads to visit the Rhoads family estate are true. At that visit they examined and recorded the details of Randys guitars :-) ... Fernandes Burny, as many know, captured the sound and the mystique of the real thing with their offerings in this early 1980s period.
This guitar is factory original including the pickguard, which appears slightly-worn as a 1983 pickguard would and has the small script lettering with the word "Model" next to Randy Rhoad's name which is just one of many indicators that its the real deal. Again 100% factory original guitar electronics, pickups with one exception. The original Burny white bone nut was replaced with a newer graphite nut over 10 years ago.That said, when we say original we mean ORIGINAL. The hardware all is dated to 1983 and the pickups are the Burny Fernandes Pickups that pre-date the popular VH-1 pickups Fernandes started making in 1984. This guitar is a set neck guitar with a mahogany neck and body with a thick maple top. This guitar was one that was quite easy to for us to verify. Its authenticity is evident within the matching volume/tone pots that all have the date code showing manufacture of July 1983. ( see Photo ).
