Here I have available for your consideration an all original 1970 Gibson SG Special.Serial number 965290 , Made in USA stamped headstock. Neck volute.This mature aged Jaw Dropping Tone Monster having done it's tour of duty, was stored away unplayed for over a decade or two. I am it's second owner. P90 pups have there unique tonal qualities, think of Pete Townsend, Santana, Eric Clapton. A few of the greats who have played many classic hit with their SG Special. Neck is straight, original frets have well over 80% life left. Action is to die for, once in your hands you will not want to put it down. Your fingers will dance effortlessly up and down the neck with no dead spots. Cosmetically it has the usual player characteristics of a 47 year old vintage player, ie dings, dents, scratches and patina. None of which have any detriment to the way this vintage classic plays or sounds. Overall it is a fairly clean vintage 47 year old SG Special. All original electronics, pot dates are partially illegible , as per photos. No neck breaks, cracks or repairs, no extra routs, no overspray or respray, no neck reset. No hidden issues. The original case had seen better days and had fallen apart , so is replaced with a new non original hard shell case. This 47 year old vintage classic will not disappoint any new owner. Plug it in to an old vintage tube amp and you better have some clean undies on the ready. Mature mahogany at it's best.
