This is a Vintage 1971 Gretsch "Gold Satin Flame" drum kit. Stop Sign Badge #1 (SSB1) kits are the exact same as the 1960's Round Badge (RB) kits, except the badge. 14" x 22" bass drum,8" x 12" mounted tom, 9" x 13" mounted tom, 16" x 16" floor tom. Wrap is in very descent condition with normal scratches etc from use. Has wear from use. some light pitting etc. All chrome would clean up nicely. ( i haven't cleaned this kit) wrap has normal wear /scratches etc. wrap has a little fraying at the edge on the bass drum. (Mostly on the bottom. see pictures # 1 & 2 )Mostly hidden under the head collar. All chrome would clean up nicely. ( i haven't cleaned this kit)
I got this kit from a collector that is selling off a few of his kits
All bearing edges look factory good and a few of the heads fit a little typical Gretsch round/stop sign badge badge era tight. not bad at all. All drums have Gretsch silver sealer factory painted interiors. All 6 ply jasper shells.
All drums have there paper tags inside. floor tom tag is perfect, The other 3 drums tags have some damage. ( just the paper tags) ( depth x head )14" x 22" bass drum - Has 16 Original lugs , t-rods & claws. rail consolate, spur brackets & spurs. BOTH HOOPS ARE SOLID WITH NO CRACKS. Drum has its original Gretsch logo head on the front in excellent condition and a smooth white vintage head on the batter side. Has its original Jimmy Pratt bass drum muffler ( muffler is missing the felt. all else is there). Gretsch Stop Sign Badge #1 comes with 1st generation Gretsch double tom post.
8" x 12" mounted tom - has 10 original lugs, tension rods, washers. original Gretsch diecast rims. Original diamond tom bracket Has both of its original mufflers top and bottom. Has an Evans white coated level 360 head on the top and a clear Remo amb. on the bottom. Gretsch Stop Sign Badge #19" x 13" mounted tom - has 12 original lugs, tension rods, washers. original Gretsch diecast rims. Original diamond tom bracket ( bracket has some chrome loss ) Has both of its original mufflers top and bottom.
