This is a 1965 Gibson SG Junior. It is a beautiful guitar in excellent condition. This vintage Gibson is a great playing guitar too, it has low easy action and a nice smooth tremolo unit. No cracks or any damage at all. This guitar has been refinished about 10 years ago with Nitrocellulose lacquer and the correct red stain/wood grain filler technique so that it looks very much like the original finish would have when it was newer only no checking and it isn't faded. The original P90 is still in there, as well as the original pots/electronics. The tuning keys, tremolo unit, and the bridge have been replaced with newer reissue parts. Trying to keep is as close as possible to the original state, but they also have the advantage of working better than the originals. The tuning keys especially, they stay in tune much better than the originals would have. I have been doing this kind of guitar work since the late 80s, and I did all the work to this guitar, although it was many years ago. It does not come with the original case. It has a newer, very nice, Gibson gig bag. Thanks for looking, I know you'll love this beautiful vintage SG. It is really fun to play!
