I am continuing to thin my collection of guitars and I am putting my Gibson Custom House Johnny A signature series up for bid. I have a low reserve and my starting price is my reserve. My loss is truly your gain as this is an absolutely stunning guitar. JA-1222. Made in 2016 in the Nashville CS. Gibson's Johnny A electric guitar is right at the crossroads of the tonal characteristics of solidbody and hollowbody axes. Just one look at this beauty, and your heart will swoon. The Johnny A, made in 2016 in the Nashville Custom Shop. The back and the sides are one-piece mahogany carved. Beautiful. The top is a top-grade AAA flamed maple. The ebony fretboard, black/white binding and gold hardware all add up to a great guitar.The small headstock very well proportioned with the rest of the guitar, has an elegant flower inlay and a signature-engraved trussrod cover. The knobs and selector switch are just like those of a Historic R9. The pickguard has a very modern look, too, very different from any other Gibson’s. The guitar is very lightweight! The neck profile is similar to a Slim Taper, but not too thin.Very comfortable to play, exceptionally versatile, but superior when it comes to cleans (where you can really notice the body’s rich resonance). Adaptable to blues, rock, jazz and country music… anytime. It has a pair of ’57 Classics and a ABR-1 bridge and a Bigsby.The Johnny A. guitar is built in Nashville (not Memphis, where more systematic production takes place), where all Historics and superior Gibsons are made.
