Offered is a rare Custom 77 Silverburst RD Prototype guitar. Built in France by Custom 77, a renowned guitar boutique in Lyon, France, whose original designs have been endorsed by bands such as Sonic Youth, Slowdive, MBV, Portishead, etc. This particular model is the 'Lust For Life' (Iggy, the Stooges). Inspired by 70s punk 'n roll sensibilities of the Gibson RD, it features a maple thru-neck on alder body, smooth ebony fretboard, a pair of hot P-90s with neck and bridge volume and master tone, 3-way switch, and a black pickguard over silverburst finish. Plays and sounds great with pro setup. This was a premium prototype given to and used by an LA recording studio until they consigned it. I've owned it for awhile and recorded a project with it but need to sell now to raise funds for a new classical. This is not your cliche Strat/LP but a unique one of a kind guitar perfect for indie rock, 70s punk, post punk, etc. If your taste in music jives with some of the bands listed then perhaps this guitar is for you.
