Outstanding example of a b3 Phoenix in Black & Tan finish in Excellent Condition (EC). This one is lightly distressed with understated checking and hardware patina. It feels like an older broken-in guitar of exceptionally high quality. The neck carve is Standard C which has a big and very comfortable feel. These guitars sound and play awesome. The Buzz Feiten Tuning System makes a big difference. The Phoenix is described as a Tele on steroids meets a Firebird which is spot on. The bridge Tele sound is amazing; the mahogany neck-through design complements it perfectly. The mini-humbuckers give you the classic neck and middle Firebird tones. I am a really big fan of the middle pickup sound. Both Mini-humbuckers have cool splitters which makes this a very versatile guitar. Gene Baker nailed it when he designed this amalgamation of vintage tones. This guitar has an aftermarket parchment pickguard and the original B/W/B pickguard is included (pictured with all the case candy). This guitar is also listed for sale at Denver Guitar Exchange - - so this listing may be removed at any time. Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks for looking!
