Fenton Weill Dualmaster (Burns) electric guitar 1960 This is a rare guitar. Jim Burns and Henry Weill got together in 1959. They started construction of some electric solid body guitars in London. By some point in 1960, they split up. Henry Weill carried on by making the Fenton range under Fenton-Weill. Henry Weill’s business folded some time in 1965. This is one of those guitars. The Green colour makes this even more unusual. Burns’ favourite colour combo at the time was Red and Black. If you like rare guitars, this is one for your collection. I’m not asking a lot for it. It all works. In fact, there’s only two non-original items. The pick guard has been repaired around the jack plug and I don’t believe the bridge is original. It has plenty of play wear but the action is very good with plenty of room for further adjustment. There are cracks in the paint where the wood now shows. The Rosewood finger board is very good and it has been re-fretted at some point as they are very good. The headstock is excellent. It retains the original Fenton Weill brass badge and the original 6 tuners together with the correct oval buttons. A joy to play.
