Rare Fender Japan Kurt Cobain Jaguar CIJ S-Serial (2002) in 3-Tone Sunburst, Alder body & DimarziosHere is a rare chance to get your hands on a very cool special order Fender Japan Kurt Cobain Jaguar. Please don’t confuse this with the mass produced cheaper Mexican stuff that seems to be everywhere atm. This was made in very small numbers back in 2002 in Japan (it was the very first Kurt Jag reissue) built by Fender especially for Ikebe (a large chain of guitar stores). These were only made for the Japanese domestic market and couldn’t be sourced through Ishibashi who are direst competitors of Ikebe. They don't show up much, even in Japan. Anyway she is a beautiful 3 tone sunburst. Much lighter and faded looking than the modern reissues. She is ageing beautifully and looks all stock to me with Dimarzios, neck binding, rosewood fingerboard and alder body. No mods, breaks, repairs. Straight neck, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues whatsoever either electrically on structurally. Of course she has been played so is not mint. She has some scuffing, a little paint chip on the top curve, just light wear that she looks all the better for. A beautifully Japanese crafted Kurt Jag. Complete with original gig bag (no trem). All my guitars are shipped inside their HSC/gig bags in padded purpose designed tough durable boxes. My packaging is indestructible. The guitar will reach you in perfect condition.
