This is a Conn 8DY Double French Horn (serial number 854328) in excellent condition. It was most likely made in Abilene, Texas. This is a very UNIQUE & rare instrument. The horn is yellow brass tapered tubing and bell with a nickel silver valve section. This make the horn sound great with warm, rich sounds. It plays brighter than a nickle silver 8D & has a great response. This is my 81 year old, bother-in-law's horn. He is in treatment for cancer of the liver and would like to sell this one. He has another one that he will keep.
