Powered by Frooition Pro 2002 Gibson Flying V Electric Guitar - Worn Cherry & Crescent Inlays w/Gig Bag Item Description 2002 Gibson Faded Flying V Electric Guitar with Crescent Inlays in good condition but with a good amount of dings, scratches and a couple of engravings. The front is relatively clean with most of the wear being around the bottom edges. The back has a moderate amount of buckle wear, dents dings and scratches. The side of the guitar has "Love" engraved in it but it is not as noticeable as the symbol engraved on the back of the headstock (see pic). Other than the back, most of the dents and dings are on the edges. The back of the neck has a few dings, but nothing too serious. Nice Worn Cherry finish with a white pickguard and chrome hardware. The guitar has a nice action and the slim taper mahogany neck with an Ebony fretboard and Crescent Moon inlays has a great feel. The frets are in good condition with a moderate amount of playwear. The uncovered Gibson 496r and 500T pickups have a nice aggressive tone with strong output. The guitar is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge, stop bar tailpiece and vintage style Gibson Deluxe green key tuners. This is one of the early, Faded models which are desirable because of the upgraded ebony fretboard and nice crescent moon inlays. These are now becoming collectible. When the original V came out in '58, it was ahead of its time. When it was reissued 9 years later, it became a favorite of progressive rockers and still is to this day.
