In 2014, the Fender Custom Shop made a bunch of these 60th anniversary 1954 strats (some in NOS finish, some in medium relic, and some in heavy relic). Most of these came in the regular black or sunburst colors, but a select few models were produced in custom Red, Seafoam Green, etc.
This guitar is just a beast. It's by far one of the best custom shop strats I've ever played. I listed it in very good condition because there are some surface scratches on the back of the guitar (see pictures). These are purely cosmetic and don't affect the playability of the guitar in any way (they're hard to capture, let me know if you want more pictures). Plus they're on the back, so you can't see them. Otherwise the finish is gorgeous. The action is super low and the strings ring out clearly. The custom handwound pickups sound beautiful in clean and distorted settings. Included is the COA (SN: 1962) and all of the other paperwork (warranty card, hang tags, etc). The custom shop case is included as well, and is in excellent condition. There is only one tiny scratch on the leather part of the case, but it's barely noticeable. Please let me know if you have any other questions! The guitar is priced to sell. There is only one other NOS red finish on Reverb.com selling for $3600. There are a few other NOS finishes in the other custom colors but you're looking at $4-6000.
