Fender Special Edition 60’s Stratocaster Surf Green with Matching Headstock with original rosewood neck plus after market scalloped maple neck   I am an amateur luthier and occasionally buy in guitars to further my hobby. Sometimes these guitars are new, ex demo, new/old stock or used items; also less frequently I undertake complete custom builds. Generally speaking, all guitars benefit from a good set-up; it makes them sound better and easier to play. Full guitar technician set-ups usually cost from £50.00 upwards, however, every guitar that I sell will have had at least the following work carried out to it at no extra cost:- Body and neck cleaned with the correct materials Frets polished Fret board cleaned and oiled (where applicable) All hardware cleaned Restring Action adjusted (height of strings over the fretboard) Intonation adjusted Selector switch internals cleaned (electric guitars) Potentiometers cleaned (electric guitars) Pickups balanced (electric guitars)   Fender Special Edition 60’s Stratocaster Surf Green with Matching Headstock with original rosewood neck plus fitted after-market scalloped maple neck.   Here is a Fender Stratocaster that I bought new for myself in February 2016. It is a lovely guitar in excellent condition but I am reluctantly selling it as I have just bought another Fender strat, and having four strats and all the other stuff is probably one strat too many. I am selling it with an after-market scalloped maple neck fitted as this is the way I prefer my own guitars these days, but I have included the original rosewood Fender neck in the sale, together with the original neck plate and screws. It is a simple job putting it back to standard but I have decided to sell it like this so if you have wondered what the scalloped neck thing is all about (Malmsteen etc) you can give it a try without having to shell out a couple of thousand pounds! I have revised the tone circuit on this guitar as from new it was a little bit too bright for my taste, the lower tone knob now controls the bridge pup and the upper tone knob controls the mid and neck pups, which works really nicely. I have also fitted an extra capacitor so it now has two paper in oil capacitors fitted with different values for each tone pot. I believe the minor modifications I have made have changed this very good guitar into an exceptional guitar, but of course tone is a very personal thing; the good news is it can very easily and cheaply be changed back to standard if you wished to do so; In fact, I can do this for you at a later date if required. Included in the sale is the following:- Fender 60’s re-issue strat (nitro finish) with matching headstock (Feb 2016) Original Fender tweed hard case All corresponding Fender paperwork (warranty is registered) After market scalloped maple neck (fitted) Wiring schematic of current set-up   Apart from a tiny chip on the edge of the painted headstock the guitar is in excellent condition. The current retail price for one of these is around £750, and that price would not include an extra neck. I have priced this guitar and two neck package for a quick sale at £575.00 to include courier delivery.   For more detail and other guitar related items please take a look at my other place:- simplyguitars.co.uk   If you are able to visit me in Hunstanton, NW Norfolk you are more than welcome to try before you buy, otherwise check out the comments from my previous customers in the Ebay feedback forum.
