DC127C Guitar with Floyd Rose Tremolo, 2 pickup-Locking nut-Sapphire Blue Flame Maple Top-Deep Triple Step Stain-Pointed Angled 6S Headstock-Flamed Maple Headstock-Birdseye Maple Fretboard-Stainless Steel Jumbo Frets-14" Fretboard Radius-M22SD Bridge Pickup-Active/Passive Electronics-Black Chrome Plated Hardware-White Carvin Logo (Large)-Guitar Case: Vintage TweedThis guitar is used but was kept in excellent playing condition by a true guitar enthusiast. It shows no wear on the frets and has a thick glossy finish free of scratches and dings other than a minor bump on the front face as seen in the closeup picture. This guitar has active/passive pickup electronics which is the creme of the crop pickup electronics that Carvin or anybody for that matter offers. If you are not familiar with it, there is an active pickup amplifier circuit built in which gives active boost control of the low and high end frequencies via the 2 lower pickup knobs. The amplifier is powered by on board 9V battery located in the rear compartment. If you pull up on the volume knob, it switches back to passive pickup electronics. There are 3 switches located to the players right of the control knobs. These control coil taps on the 2 humbucker pickups changing either one to a single coil at a flip of the switch. The lower switch puts the two pickups in phase and out of phase. With all of these options you have a remarkably diverse range of sounds capable. You can get a dimarzio hollow sound, a blues twang sound, a fuzzy Journey - Lights sound, funk and reggae sounds, and of course more traditional humbucker sounds like rock, blues, thrash metal, alternative rock sounds. With the 14" radius fretboard, you get the most comfortable lead playing and the super low action and large stainless frets makes this guitar a true shredder if you are so inclined. The birdseye maple fretboard has no finger stains and has a glossy thru body heal that makes it so comfortable to play.
