The maple neck has a medium C shaped profile with flawless slender vintage-style fretwire, an ebony fretboard and split hump-block pearl inlays. The hand carved bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock, the original Grover Imperial tuners turn smoothly with perfect gold plating, and the "Gretsch Synchromatic" logo is cleanly inlaid on the face.The simple electronics work as they should, the rosewood stairstep bridge has plenty of height for future adjustment, and the Gretsch label is clean and visible through the bass side catseye F hole. The flame maple back and sides have vibrant and tight flame figuring, and the gloss finish is clean as can be.
