In 2002 I was able to buy a matched pair of Epiphone Les Paul's, and have owned both since new. I ended up playing one of them all the time, getting scratch's, dents, the usual, and saved this one as the back-up. It has around 10 hours total playing time, so is basically in new condition, with one tiny scratch on the face, zero fret wear, etc. It plays beautifully, has a cool finish, and has had the proper Les Paul sized Bixby whammy bar installed, with a stainless steel rolling bridge, ($100. alone). Body is solid wood, mahogany veneer back, with maple veneer top, neck is maple, with rosewood fretboard, and has the 1960's style thin tapered "D" shape neck, with a 1.68in. nut. Dual humbuckers, weight is 8.3 lbs., and serial # U02101392, showing Korean manufacture in Oct. 2002. I/v owned and played a number of Les Paul's, both Gibson, and Epiphone, and this particular vintage has the nicest feel and playability of all of them. I guess one is enough, and I can let the back-up go.
