2012 Troy Post Guitars Jerry Garcia Tribute Full Custom Hand Built GuitarTroy completed this guitar for me in 2012, full custom build to my specs:
• Bolivian rosewood top and back, multi-lam body with flame maple core
• Five piece flame maple/cherry/purpleheart neck, with Bolivian rosewood multi-lam headstock face and back
• Ebony fretboard with abalone dot inlays, 24-3/4” scale, 1-11/16” brass nut, 12 inch fretboard radius, medium jumbo nickel silver frets, slimmish C-shape neck profile that flattens a bit beginning at the 12th fret
• All gold hardware, Gotoh Delta Series 18:1 ratio tuning machines, Hipshot hardtail Strat style bridge, gold pickup rings, strap buttons, and Tele style knobs
• Two DiMarzio Super II pickups, individual volume and tone control for each pickup, with push-pull pots for coil split (description revised); the toggle switch moves front to back like a Tele, 90 degrees opposed to how it’s oriented on a Gibson
• Full gloss body and neck finish
• Weighs 9 pounds 12 ounces (9.75 pounds)
• Original TKL gig bag
It took Troy a couple of years to build this guitar for me.  When I opened the shipping carton, I found that the people who shipped it for him had oriented the carton up-side down when they put the shipping label on it, so it traveled headstock down the entire time it was in transit to me.  As a result, it sustained minor damage:  the point on the headstock is mashed, there are cracks in the body lams at the neck heel, and at the fretboard extension.  Since the guitar is neck through, though, its structural integrity isn’t affected.I believe this was Troy’s first full gloss finish, and it’s not perfect:  the top and back are covered with buffing scratches, there are various other scratches, several areas on the top that look like an imprint pattern of fabric, unevenness and fingerprints in the finish on the front and back of the headstock, and rough areas on the rim near the bottom strap button, near the bass side lower bout, and at the tip of both cutaway horns.  You can feel the neck lams through the finish.   The guitar needs a setup; right now, it’s set up with Jerry-style generous neck relief.  The brass rear cover plate is covered with tarnish from fingerprints.  Questions are welcome.  Please read my 100% positive feedback, and order with confidence – no hassles.  Return in same condition if not as described; contact me within 48 hours of delivery.  Ships to lower 48 only, no exceptions.  Free shipping by UPS Ground, fully insured.
