Original King Hardshell Case Included King 7K Mouthpiece Included Will Ship Worldwide A REAL GEM! ~ Make An Offer You are looking at nice example of the legendary King Liberty pro trumpets of the late 1930s era. Here's a 1939 vintage King Liberty by H.N. White Co. made in Cleveland Ohio, USA. This trumpet is an incredible player and has that nice vintage "art deco" look to it. The valves are buttery smooth and quick and the slides are all free and lubricated. Pistons are in good shape and slides make a nice "pop" when pulled. The lacquered brass finish is approx. 80% intact and has that wonderful honey/amber colored tint to it that so many collectors find desirable. There is some average finish wear and scratches to the finish (please see pictures) but overall the horn has that neat WWII era look. The really interesting thing about this trumpet is - not only is it a standard Bb trumpet - you can easily and quickly convert it into the key of A by simply removing the tuning slide extension and pulling the remaining 3 slides out to the marked points. So you can literally change from a Bb trumpet to an A trumpet in seconds! (Picture # 7 shows the horn in the "A" configuration) This trumpet was an extremely popular professional model in it's day and plays and functions as well as most modern pro trumpets. The build quality on these vintage Kings is extraordinary. Leadpipe is in great shape. All parts and everything are intact. This trumpet has been lovingly played , so there are some small dents present in the horn's bell section, but nothing major. Bell has very fancy ribbon engraving and reads "KING LIBERTY MODEL MADE BY THE H.N. WHITE CO. CLEVELAND OHIO". This horn has the classic and unique King Liberty tuning slide brace, art deco styling throughout, adjustable 3rd slide stop rod and traditional waterkeys. So it's fully loaded and ready to jam!! Serial # is 224XXX indicating it was made in 1939 around the onset of WWII when horns were built to last! The slides have been lubricated and all function well. All joints on this trumpet are solid and the horn is all ready to perform. This one is very free blowing and is definitely suitable for serious player. It has a darker thick rich tone that I haven't found in any modern pro horns. These trumpets are great for almost any musical setting, including jazz, big band and concert band. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a really fine playing, nice used condition 1939 King Liberty convertible trumpet. This trumpet has been play tested and is the complete package.
