What makes this guitar special: Commissioned as part of a 10-piece limited run by Cream City Music in 2009, this Greg Koch Signature GSK Stratocaster was just brought home to us by its original owner. Built to the specs of the gristle-king himself, it’s absolutely loaded with premium appointments, and screams with piping hot tonal ingenuity. It sports a fat ‘50s style U-neck, hand-wound Abigail Ybarra single-coil pickups, and a ridiculous array of electronic versatility.Production was overseen by Master Builder Dennis Galuszka to ensure that every minor detail was accounted for on these. The idea was to build them on a relic’d gradient, starting with one and going to ten, number one being a pristine brand new version, and ten being a very heavy relic, with tons of wear and aging. This one is number 3, and is in outstanding condition, with a factory aged pearloid pickguard giving it that “closet classic” look. It’s been professionally setup and inspected by the experts at Cream City Music, and will arrive ready to play out of the case-with a hand-signed note from Greg included!Cosmetic condition: Excellent condition-some very limited surface and handling marks throughout. Cosmetically, this one is a 9.5/10.Body: Solid swamp ash body in transparent daphne blue finish with 3-ply aged pearloid pickguard, gold two-point tremolo bridge, engraved limited edition gold neck plate.Weight: 8 lb, 8.4 ozNeck: Chunky U-shaped ‘50s profile AA flame maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Gold Sperzel locking tuners function perfectly. .940” thickness at 1st fret, and 1” thickness at the 12th. 9.5” fingerboard radius. Frets are in great shape and show almost no wear at all. Neck is straight and plays beautifully up and down the length of the fingerboard.Electronics: Hand-wound Abigail Ybarra ‘50s NOS single-coil pickups with 5-way pickup selector switch, and white skirted knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume. Under the hood, this one has the goods…a treble bleed circuit is in place for roll-offs that don’t kill tone, and both tone pots are push-pull for added tonal variance (the lower changing the tone, the middle pulling the pickups out of phase).Case: Original hard shell case included, along with Certificate of Authenticity, and original Spec pamphlet, signed by Greg himself.
