1980's Hohner Professional The Prinz TelecasterSCROLL DOWN FOR MORE LARGE PHOTOSHere is a vintage Hohner 'The Prinz' Tele style guitar from the 80's (maybe 1987?). This is the famous Prince style model, and it's one of the earlier ones with the Fender headstock shape, not one of the later TE models with a different head shape. These are getting sort of rare, and this is a nice example. It has a nicely flamed top and back and it's in fine shape overall. There is a small lacquer chip on the back edge (see close up), and if you look in the correct light you can see a few belt buckle type indentations on the back that don't break the finish (and are fairly hard to see). There is a small crack in the clear coat near the heel that's in the finish only, not the wood (again, see close up photo). Other than that there's just some normal light marks from use here and there. I did notice a tiny screw hole in the top right at the edge of the tortoiseshell material around the bridge and I have no idea why it's there. The neck is straight with comfortable action and good frets. There is a little playing wear on the neck lacquer near the first fret or so but it's nothing major. Both pickups have good output and excellent tone. The guitar comes with a non-original gig bag.
