Up for sale is a pretty much a brand new 2017 Eastman MD814-V F-Style Mandolin with Oil Varnish Finish. Appears this one was made for the 2017 NAMM Shows. Solid Woods & Hand Carved with hand rubbed Oil Varnish finish and nicely bound. Adirondack Spruce top with highly flamed Maple sides & back. Basically a replica of an early 20th Century Gibson F-4. Very nice attention to detail & sounds like a cannon. Per Eastman:'The 800 model mandolins are hand-carved from solid select spruce with highly flamed maple backs and sides with full ivoroid bindings. Features include - ebony fingerboard, adjustable bridge. In the style of Lloyd Loar's mandolins of the 1920's, 800 model mandolins feature Adirondack spruce tops and hand applied oil varnish'.BODY STYLE F style – oval hole
