DescriptionThis is a beautiful guitar, and essentially new. The case is mint, with the plastic still on the handle, and the guitar is in NOS condition, with only the slightest signs that it left the store.  It's a great looking and sounding guitar in a rare color, Chicago Blue.  It's a nice weight of 9 lbs, 1 oz.  There are no issues, and comes with all the case candy, including Epiphone strap locks and the keys to the case. Here's the info from Epiphone: The NEW Epiphone “1956” Les Paul Standard PRO
Epiphone continues its long history of innovation with the introduction of the “1956” Les Paul Standard PRO featuring Epiphone's new P-90 PRO pickups made to the original specifications of vintage P-90s including bobbin shape, 18% nickel/silver base and Elektrosola wire. The new “1956” Les Paul Standard PRO packs a powerful punch with classic P-90 tone to the bone. The Epiphone 1956 Les Paul Standard Chicago Blue incorporates an innovative locking tune-o-matic bridge and tail piece system which eliminates a problem every guitarist who uses a tune-o-matic bridge will have encountered which is the lack of stability when the strings are removed which causes the bridge/tailpiece to fall off and minor unwanted adjustments to the bridge height to be made. However the Locktone tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece makes that a thing of the past, with high tension springs fitted into the attachments the bridge now clips and locks into place without the use of tools and also increases sustain by up to twenty percent. Constructed from a solid fully mahogany body for a deeper and fuller tone the Epiphone 1956 Les Paul Standard, Chicago Blue also incorporates a mahogany neck which has been carefully designed and hand fitted in a glued-in fashion to allow the maximum transfer of vibrations between the body and neck to produce larger sustain and resonance.
