Description
Brand: G&L

The F-100 was the first guitar model released by G&L. This '81 Series I F-100 boasts a transparent Candy Apple Red finish over what appears to be an ash body and an infinitely smooth maple neck and fingerboard, along with the classic MFD humbuckers. Master volume, master tone, and bass controls with phase switch and coil tap. The controls do not require any batteries, unlike other runs of this model that do.The guitar has what appears to be an aftermarket brass bridge that would have had to have been added almost immediately, or as a factory option, as there is no sign of any other bridge. The tuners have been replaced with vintage Music Man tuners, which are a close match to the originals. There are also 2 new string trees, the original holes have been filled in. The finish on the back of the neck has either been worn down or stripped and has a smooth unfinished feel. This F-100 is in very good condition for it's age. Aside from the tweaks it's had throughout it's life, it does have some normal dings and scratches, but no major buckle rash or large dings or dents. The frets show some wear but the guitar still plays great with super low action.Comes with an aftermarket hard shell case.
