We recently acquired this rare antique - an early 20th century Eb Buescher helicon tuba. This beautiful instrument has been carefully tucked away for decades. It has a beautifully engraved bell which is hard to see from the pictures. The overall condition is actually pretty good for such a large instrument with a fair amount of age. There are some expected dents, dings and general wear from use and age, but better condition than one might expect. It is completely playable. The valves are quite responsive and work well, although they could use some cleaning and oiling. We left this old helicon in just the condition it was discovered in. The bell measures approx. 17 inches across. The entire instrument measures approx. 31 by 27 inches.
