Selling Nice vintage SELMER Balanced model 24A Bb trumpet similar to Louis Armstrong jazz legend used to play ( NOT exact same trumpet ! ) Horn is in good to very good condition . I believe it is an original silver plated finish which is overall very good. It could be cleaned and polished ( did not polish or clean prior making photos ) .I say original finish because I can see all the detail on bell stamped letters and valve casings numbers / serial numbers ( on photo ) and SELMER logo there is crisp. Horn plays very well and it's very comfortable to hold due to valve section placement. Compression on valves is very good , not new compression ( with minor leaks of air when compression test is made ) but sound is not affected. ( Horn was played and play tested ) . As you can see on photos there was a bit of resoldering done this is before I owned it on the column on tuning slide and I guess a bit where the leadpipe enters the tuning slide section pipe. Also noticed that pinky hook is not original but it feels comfortable. I don't see wear to the plating on the valve Pistons. I checked after making photos because I see that there appears to be reflection of something in my room on the 3rd piston or this brown case this horn comes with on photo. It is a nice and rare horn so don't miss and own a part of SELMER trumpet making history . SELMER does not make brass instruments since 2011 so don't miss ! eBay . PayPal . This is a final sale .
