This is a 2014 Gibson Firebird 120th Anniversary model guitar. I bought this, unfinished, last year with the intention of customizing it. All I have done to it is coat the pickup and control cavities with conductive shielding paint from Stewart MacDonald, THEN fully shield over that with copper tape. Overkill? Maybe, but I do hate hum! This is a neck-through guitar, and I got it because it was cheaper than the Heritage H357 that I REALLY wanted. The wood grain is beautiful, and the translucent red looks great over it. The pictures really don't do it justice. There is one spot of concern, and that is some scuff marks just below the bottom of the headstock where rubber from a wall hanger hook rubbed into the finish. I have a couple wall hangers in my practice room, but I won't be using them anymore because of this. I took the best picture I could of it, and did so outside where the lighting was best. This comes with a black pickguard without the embossed bird, I thought it looked "cleaner" without it. Very lightweight with absolutely NO MILES on the frets. This is basically a brand new guitar ready for some nice aftermarket upgrades. Feel free to email with any questions at all, and know that I accept returns. I feel that you will be happy with this guitar, but if you're not you're welcome to send it back. Thanks for stopping! - Bill "Treblerocker"
