Zimmermann, Julius Heinrich. Concert Flute (Schwedler System) c.1895Leipzig, Germany.Zimmermann, Julius Heinrich - Born 1851 Sternberg Germany. Established at St. Petersburg as a music publisher from 1876, eventually maintaining branches in Moscow from 1882, Leipzig 1886, and Riga 1905. Founded a factory in St. Petersburg in 1895 for all instruments.This flute is in what can only be described as original c.1895 showroom condition.It would appear to have laid in its beautiful leather bound box untouched for most of it's c.122 years!The flute itself would appear to have all it's original leather pads and corks.Plated / German Silver keyworkIvory headjoint, Grenadilla Body
