For auction is a Carvin Holdsworth Fatboy 2 synth access electric guitar. I am the original owner - it was built in 2013. It has a highly figured birdseye maple fingerboard with a tung oil finish and abalone dot inlays, gold hardware, stainless steel medium jumbo frets, Sperzel locking tuners with pearl buttons, Carvin S22 pickups with push/pull coil splitting, and an Ivory Graph Tech TUSQ Nut. The chambered body is made of alder with a birch top and back. The neck is set-in Eastern hard rock maple with a 25.5" scale. Carvin calls the color “seafoam green,” although some say it is closer to Fender’s surf green. It looks great with the gold hardware, and really makes the birdseye maple fingerboard pop. If you like this color, check my other auctions for a matching Swart amp! The guitar is in excellent condition: never gigged, used only in my smoke-free home studio. I'd say "near mint," but then I'd hear a bunch of bad jokes about the color. The guitar has very low action and plays great all the way up the neck, with unfettered access to all 24 frets. All the hardware and electronics work fine. The synth access provides a 13 pin Roland GK jack for access to external guitar synths such as the Boss GP-10, Roland GR-55, and VG-99, among others. The piezo saddle bridge dictates a 12” neck radius, and a piezo pickup output is provided to drive acoustic guitar amps. It is a well thought out and powerful system that provides limitless tonal possibilities. I will ship the guitar in its original Carvin hardshell case and shipping carton. This is a great guitar, and I’m sure you’ll be very pleased with it. However, I am not a store and this guitar is being sold as-is. I've been buying and selling on eBay since 1999 and have a perfect feedback record, so bid with confidence. Please ask any questions well in advance of the auction closing. Thanks for looking, and good luck!
