The story begins here.  I got this guitar from an outstanding elder man about 12 years ago.  He was an original employee at Danelectro, working in the electronics (electrics) of the factory.   The guitar has been in storage for the duration that I owned the guitar.  Please note: I disassembled the guitar for this ad.  What is wild about this guitar is there is no label on the headstock.  There is no evidence that the guitar was restored, I don't think the man even played the guitar.  Furthermore, there is little evidence that the guitar was actually played very much, no pick marks or other player wear.  The frets have areas of flat spots, but I would think that the frets were sanded during the setup (no truss rod on these).  Everything is original down to the original fretwire bridge.  The pots and pickup work.  The pickup is a split lipstick case cover.  On the front body, there are surface cracks in the areas where the bottom of the bridge sits as well as where the volume and tone control knobs are seated.  The "cracks" are on the surface of the Masonite giving a slight wavy appearance from extreme side view.  The back of the guitar body is insanely perfect with exception of a slight gouge and a few finish markings (picture is a true depiction).  Overall, the guitar does not show the normal wear from years of playing, truly there are no signs of usage.   Any problems with guitar seemed to be from handling and storage thru the years.   Metal parts have the normal patina/corrosion.  Side formica is in great shape, way, way less than the normal dirt that formica was designed to attract.  I am sure that if the formica was steamed cleaned (because of the porous surface), the formica would be considered mint condition.  The neck has the double bar truss, beautiful fretboard wood and standard aluminum nut.  Original box tuners.  The pictures can give the most details.  I have the original three strings that the guitar had on them when I got.  I am not an archivist of Danelectro, but I know that this is a special guitar that needs not to be in storage.  The guitar will remain detached and I would suggest shipping (actual) would be best this way.   Any questions, please ask.  Thanks for the look.
