Up for sale is a GR Lasido, L. R. Baggs Model guitar in excellent condition. GR stood for Godin Research and the L.R. Baggs model is now called the Acousticaster. The guitar is Canadian made, all original, and in super shape. It is from the 1988 very first edition (confirmed by the factory for serial # 15xx) of the now famous Acousticaster model that was instrumental in putting Godin's name on the guitar map. Not sure how many were made in the first edition but it probably wasn't many. At that time they were a relatively unknown brand releasing a new ground breaking guitar design with no knowledge of how it would be received by the public.Please take a look at the pictures, and there are a lot of them. I know they are not the best pictures. Shiny black guitars are hard to photograph without reflections showing up, and these pics have plenty of that. But collectively the photos should give you a good idea of the cosmetic condition There are no dents or dings to tell you about. There is some play wear and pick haze around the midsection of the top that only shows when the light is at the right angle. Same for some very light and sparse buckle marks on the back. That is about it for cosmetic imperfections. The neck is straight and action is low. Very easy to play. The frets are original and show no wear. The truss rod works as it should. There are no dents or dings on the back of the neck. The all original hardware works well and is in fine condition with no worn spots, corrosion, or damage.
The pick-ups and electronics are original too, working well and sounding great. There are no repairs or broken parts I found on the guitar at all. Weight is a minuscule 4 1/2 lbs. It could use new strings, but outside of that, it is ready to play. You will love it!
Included with the guitar is its original hard case that has stickers applied, but is clean and in good shape fuctionally. Guaranteed to be as described.Shipping within the lower 48 will only cost $35. For overseas and other US locations, please inquire before you bid. Even though I only charge to cover the cost of postage, that cost will likely be high if it needs to leave the continental US. Also, any customs or import fees need to be considered too. USPS has package size restrictions that vary from country to country and guitars are too large to be sent to many countries. Guitars with bolt-on necks can sometimes be sent without cases if the neck is removed and placed in the package beside the body. Set necks guitars cannot be sent at all. Italian customs prohibits importation of musical instruments so I do not send musical items to Italy. Paypal rules are very strict as to package tracking and proofs of delivery. The need for such documentation means requiring US Postal Express Mail service for sending items outside of the US if the item is paid for via Paypal. Also, some countries I just do not ship to, so if you are outside of the continental US, please email me for a shipping quote before you bid.
