Hello,
This is a Beautiful 1939 Gibson L-37 or L-30.... This Guitar to start is Beautiful.....
This is a "one owner" guitar. The guitar was Branded with US Navy Decal's
and has since been nicknamed "The Blue Angel" .
This has an incredible look back at our American history... Jacksonville Florida was
the home of a Large U.S. Navy Base during World War II... The Guitar is in excellent condition. The Top is Maple, I am not positive but believe the back and sides
are also Maple.. and have been beautifully finished with sunburst... the wood grain and waving , figuring. is
totally incredible... the pick-guard is original Tortoise shell. with the original Gibson hardware bracket..
The tuners are Old style Klusion. with clear amber tuner buttons. I have never seen.... and Printed MFG Chicago.
The neck is the V-style and feels amazing...
The action and intonation are excellent. The guitar plays like new and sounds incredible... Super warm tone.. clear..
Original adjustable bridge...and trapeze tail-piece... the finish has some checking and play wear...little checks and a few pick scratches thru the years... But Overall, This is by far the nicest Gibson of this Era for the 1930's that I can find....This is a One Of a Kind Rare Gibson Guitar with also a Military History and all matches for the era of the make...The serial number matched for 1939.... The case is a soft shell that I believe is original to the guitar..
Original soft shell case with purple interior in far condition....Thank you for your interest....
