This auction is for an absolutely stunning vintage Jack White/JB Hutto Montgomery Airline ResoGlas Jetsons electric guitar. It's in remarkable condition for its age, plays great, and sounds AWESOME. Just to be sure, I took it to a well respected local music shop and paid for them to go through it and make sure everything was good to go. Everything is as it should be, and it's ready to pick up play.
I believe this is a 1966 model, but I can't verify that for sure. All I can say is that others with this exact guitar are labeling theirs as 1966 model year. All I know for sure is that these were all made in the mid sixties. If anyone knows for sure, I would greatly appreciate it if you would contact me.
It has a few minor dings and wear points, as do all the vintage Airlines, so please view the pictures closely to get an idea of its overall condition. There is a small chip in one of the knobs, for which there is a closeup photo. There is also a small chip in the head, which is also shown in a closeup. Other than those two very minor chips, it just has the standard wear associated with all genuine 1960s airlines. This includes a small amount of rust on some of the chrome parts, wear in the pinstriping around the guard, and some crackling in the finish on the backside of the neck. There may or may not be some metal plugs missing from the back, where you see the two holes. I'm assuming there used to be little plugs there, but every other Jack White Airline I've seen has these missing as well, so I'm not entirely sure. In any case, this is normal for these guitars and to be expected. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I would also be happy to provide more photos if there's any specific area you would like a closeup of. Shipping to the Lower 48 will be 60 dollars for economy shipping with tracking and insurance. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii please contact me for exact shipping cost (please provide your zip code).
ETA: It has come to my attention that there is a sticker missing from the back of the head, which can clearly be seen in one of the photos, which shows a closeup of the back of the head. I don't know if this was a factory sticker or a price tag, but I just wanted to mention it to make everyone aware of it. Thanks!P.S. I was asked if I would ship to Canada, and I am willing, but shipping will be actual cost, so please provide me with your zip code before bidding to get an estimate on shipping. Please also be aware that any sales to Canada will be final, no returns for any reason, so please review the photos and description carefully and don't hesitate to ask questions. I will not pay the customs fees for the item to be returned, so I really want to emphasis that all sales to Canada will be final, no exceptions. Finally, you may incur charges from your customs in Canada, so please make sure you do your homework before bidding if you live outside the US. If I'm understanding what I'm reading correctly, it appears that you will have to pay a 5% sales tax, and possibly other taxes in addition to it. Please consult with your own local and federal authorities to get a full list of any taxes and duties you might incur. Again, please don't hesitate to ask questions! Thanks for your patience.
