Near Mint condition 1952 made in New York City Ace accordion, Brilliantone model, made by the original New York City owners of Ace Accordion Company, the late master accordion craftsman, Emil Baldoni, Joseph Nalbone, and Aldo Mencaccini. These men manufactured one of the finest accordions ever made in America. All reeds, reed plates, leathers and wax are in excellent condition. Air-tight bellows compression..no leaks.Gone over completely by Gerry Balash in Cleveland. Extended keyboard; 43 smooth and fast treble keys; 25 whole notes, 18 half notes; no clicking sounds. 120 basses (smooth as silk basses..no clicking sounds.) 4/5 handmade reeds, LMMH, with the middle reeds tuned by Gerry Balash for polkas and waltzes. This accordion plays absolutely beautifully in all four treble reed block combinations...nine voices. The basses are magnificent in touch and sound. This accordion is very difficult to find since the Ace Accordion Company in New York City was only in business for 8-9 years (1945-1953/54.) All my accordions are professional models in top playing condition. Packing and shipping to the 48 contiguous states, only, from Richmond, Virginia (no international sales.)
Included with the sale is a used hard carrying case and brand new shoulder straps (not the shoulder straps shown in the photo) and also an original good condition New York Ace Accordion Company advertising catalog brochure showing this model and others.
