1960s Dynelectron Longhorn bass guitar.I bought this bass at auction and it was previously owned by Geoffrey 'Bison' Banks - a well-known Nottingham based guitar technician. He spent much of his working life touring the world as the personal guitar tech for such household names as Malcolm Young (AC/DC), Mike Rutherford (Genesis, Mike & The Mechanics), Brian May (Queen), Steve Howe, Robert Plant, Phil Collins, Toto and McFly to name a few. The bass is in used condition and has marks and signs of wear and the odd small crack in the finish , purely cosmetic and mostly eminating from screws etc for a few cms - please see pics. The bass has the original pickups and bridge and tuners, the volume controls work and the knobs pull outto operate an on / off tone ( subtle but working).A closer look at the fretboard shows some filled dot markers and fretlines and the white dot markers on this bass are in a slightly odd place (not central to the frets) - possibly it came from the factory like this or had some work done in the past - other examples of this bass I have seen have had zero frets but this bass doesn't. Who knows for sure with something this old.Anyway its a useable little bass - the strings are used but reasonable but quite a light gauge. Please don't expect to compare this to your modern Fender P Bass. The action is reasonable - not super electric guitar low but easily playable.Comes with period hard case as pictured.Free UK mainland shipping - usually 48 hrs but not always guaranteed or £10 for next working day UPS or Parcelforce or similar courier. - International buyers welcome - please message for quote - Collection in person welcome.Check out the full size pics below.
