Up for sale I have an absolutely killer vintage BC Rich Seagull Jr. electric guitar. This is one of the first models produced by Bernardo C. Rico in the mid-seventies. The original Seagull being his first electric guitar design featuring neck-thru construction, a carved neck heel and electronics by Neal Moser. These features were carried over to all other BC Rich models. The following is a quote from Neal Moser's website explaining the production progression of these guitars."Most people believe that the shape progression went from Seagull to Eagle. Actually it went from Seagull to what we called the “Pointless” Seagull then the Seagull 2 to the Eagle. There was also a Seagull Jr. model that was built a few months after the Seagull. We actually built quite a few Seagull Jrs. Probably somewhere around 100."This guitar feels lightweight and features a thin profile like an SG. The serial number on headstock dates to 1975. It has just been looked over and set-up by Cranky's (guitarrepair.com) in Mansfield, MA. The action is very low and it plays incredibly. It's fast and easy, truly a pleasure to play. The original factory modified Guild humbuckers sound AMAZING on literally every setting with tons of tonal options to choose from with the custom-style wiring. The boost circuit is powered by an internal 9-Volt battery and puts out a pedal like transistor-based gain increase. The level is adjustable via the boost knob from a slight volume increase for soloing to a sort of low-gain rangemaster like treble-boost at max. I am almost 100% positive that everything on this guitar is original except possibly one toggle switch. It seems that this is a common occurrence though because I have seen several listings noting that not all switches matched. The guitar body does show a good amount of wear with many chips, scratches and marks. It's also got a good amount of beautiful crazing showing its age. The fretboard is a little dug-in in some areas from normal use (shown in pictures.) This does not affect the playability of the guitar whatsoever, it's strictly visual. Overall it's clear that the original owner loved this guitar and played the heck out of it. And I guarantee you will fall in love with it after playing it. It's got all the vintage mojo with modern playability and so many tonal options! What more could you ask for.  Guitar Features Overview:
