This guitar is unique. A retired NASA engineer designed and installed this b- bender system. It is the best , least intrusive, least massive , best working, easiest adjusted b- bender system I have ever encountered. This was installed in this Epiphone Les Paul Special as a test before the system was installed in a much more expensive Gibson Les Paul to test fitment and function. I purchased his test guitar as he had no use for it after he proved the design. It fits and works perfectly. Bender tunning is accomplished by a fine tuner adjustment knob seen in the photo by the neck joint. The bend actuator is the upper strap button. As you push down on the guitar the b string is raised like the Parson White unit in Fender Telecaster guitars but hardly noticeable. No giant metal back plate or heavy mechanism to contend with. This adds very little in weight and goes unnoticed in the instrument. The guitar is otherwise stock. Plays great, sounds good and the bender system is amazing. If your a bender user or would like to add B bender licks to your arsenal , you will not find a better working less intrusive system on any guitar anywhere.
