This Stratocaster is from a limited run of 2,500 made in 1996 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Fender (1946-1996). This one is 100% original and in unplayed condition.
The alder body is capped front and back with a flame maple veneer. All hardware is gold plated and although 21 years old this is in great condition. The neck, fret board and frets are entirely unmarked, the back of the headstock has the 50th anniversary sticker still in place, and the neck plate commemorates Fenders 50th and sports the special run serial number Sxxxx of 2500. Electrics are as a standard Strat of the era, though the pickups are Fender Vintage Voiced pickups (all original). In the case are all the original case candy and hang tags. All the original case candy, including the gold trem arm are still sealed and untouched in their original bag.The bad bits:- There is a small dent on the back of the body near the bottom (see last photo). The lacquer is not broken and would be easy to repair if you felt it was necessary. This really is a minor blemish, but I want to be honest about the condition. This is the only notable imperfection on what is otherwise a stunning 21 year old guitar. The case is in good shape for it's age but does have a notable dent on one end.
