This is a used Collings UT-1 Tenor Ukulele in very good condition. I will never understand why Collings stopped building their incredible ukuleles, but these are now very hard to find. This particular model has Honduran mahogany top/back/sides with a satin finish. The headstock features the "haircut" style contour on top. The tuning machines are "Peghed" 4:1 tuners that offer a traditional look and are incredibly light, yet offer superior tuning performance when compared to friction tuners. There is no pickup or end-pin installed. This ukulele comes with the original Collings hardshell case, which is custom fit, strong, and compact. There is a small amount of finish wear on the lower bout where the player's forearm rests (see photo) and one very small ding on the top (about the size of a pin head, see photo), located between the bridge and the lower bout. These are minor cosmetic issues but I have included photos for reference since the instrument is of course sold as-is. The ukulele is currently strung with Aquila Nylgut strings with a high-G. If you missed the boat on buying a Collings tenor ukulele back when they were still being built then here's your chance to pick up a gorgeous sounding and looking instrument. The instrument is light, resonant and has a wonderful "woody" mahogany tone.
