The Shurangiz (Persian: شورانگیز) is a new Iranian musical instrument, a member of the lute family, developed under supervision of the Iranian musician Hossein Alizadeh. It has a skin face, six strings, a longer finer fingerboard and increased number of frets comparing with its original prototype setar.The one I have is played by mastro alizadeh. And it is in excellent condition.
