Very special 2005 cherry red gibson sg standard serial number ending 666! Very nice figuring in mahogany body. Purchased from the original collector owner 5 years ago who never played it. Swapped out the muddy 490 series pickups for a set of vintage-tone paf copies. Bridge is a Japanese Gotoh ZH-1 with alnico 5 magnet measuring 7.7k & neck is gfs pro unpotted with a2 magnet measuring 7k. I put these in with plan to eventually get '57 classics but they sound perfect so they stayed. Don't be deceived! Great vintage honky paf tone. The pots are 500k cts audio with vintage .022 caps. Bridge cap is from a 1968 sg special & neck is fender blue molded from a 1974 deluxe reverb. Great woman tone rolled off. Neck is called rounded which is in between 60s & 50s profile. Gets fuller as you go up neck. Very comfortable. Action is low and fast. Almost no fretwear & very light wear overall. A few dings in the horns, some mild scratches & typical play wear of a 12 year old guitar. Finish coming off point at headstock near logo. Some light marking from a strap on bottom edge by rear strap button-easily buffed out. Bridge tone knob has been replaced. Switch plastic ring is in the case. Still shiny & great nitro finish smell. Light use over the past few years-no longer gigging & slowly clearing out gear in anticipation of move. Just setup with new 10-46 strings. Comes with original hard case. $66 shipping US.Local pickup in Westchester county NY or Stamford CT but must paypal in advance.
